Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am paneled with Aetna and Medicare. I also work with clients on an out-of-network basis and can provide super bills for reimbursement.

What is TEAM-CBT?
TEAM-CBT is an evidence-based approach developed by Dr. David Burns that stands for Testing, Empathy, Agenda Setting, and Methods. It's a highly structured, measurable form of therapy that tracks your progress every session so you always know therapy is working.

How long does therapy typically last?
It varies depending on your goals and presenting concerns. Some clients see significant progress in a few months; others benefit from longer term work.

What can I expect in a first session?
We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you've tried before. I'll also explain my approach and we can see if we are a good fit.

Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, on a limited basis depending financial need.

Do you see clients in person?
Currently I practice exclusively via telehealth throughout New York and New Jersey. I am working toward adding limited in-person sessions in Manhattan.
